What is the IrishAngels network?
The IrishAngels network comprises a select group of Notre Dame alumni and friends who are experienced in entrepreneurial endeavors and interested in supporting new venture development.

The mission of the IrishAngels network is two fold:

  • To create a forum for entrepreneurial-minded members of the Notre Dame family to contact each other for networking purposes and foster the development of new business opportunities.
  • To support the work of the Mendoza College of Business and the Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies by providing Notre Dame students with mentoring and networking assistance that is essential for building successful new businesses.

Who are IrishAngels?
IrishAngels hail from all over the world and a variety of industries, from healthcare and manufacturing to technology and finance. As a group, members possess a broad range of skills.

Among the ranks of IrishAngels are senior executives, small-business owners, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, lawyers, bankers, software engineers, scientists and manufacturers. Despite their varied backgrounds and areas of expertise, they all have one thing in common: Notre Dame.

Membership Requirements
Membership in the IrishAngels network is by invitation only, based on the following criteria:
  • Entrepreneurial experience
    IrishAngels members have experience in either starting or managing entrepreneurial-oriented ventures, or in supporting new business development in professional roles (venture capital fund manager, lawyer, banker, etc.)


  • Support for new venture development
    Member have interest in and capacity to support new venture development within the Notre Dame family
  • Affiliation with Notre Dame
    IrishAngels include alumni and other members of the Notre Dame family.
  • Accredited Investor Status
    Click here to review details regarding this SEC - defined term.
No membership fees are required to participate in the network. Members will have the opportunity to renew their IrishAngels membership on an annual basis.

What can IrishAngels do?
Membership Benefits
Members of the IrishAngels will receive the following benefits:
  • Listing in the IrishAngels Membership Directory - The directory provides contact information and a profile of each member, including the individual's entrepreneurial experience and areas of business expertise. Access to this directory is strictly controlled by the Gigot Center and granted to IrishAngels members and select university employees only.
  • Use of IrishAngels.com - The IrishAngels Web site will act as a forum for members of the community to communicate with each other. Members can contact each other to discuss business issues, potential investment opportunities, and other topics related to new venture development.
  • Invitation to Gigot Center events - IrishAngels will be invited to attend lectures, symposia, and other functions hosted by the Gigot Center, including the annual Business Plan Competition and Fall Investment Conference.
Other Membership Opportunities
In addition to the membership benefits previously noted, members can partake in any or all of the following opportunities:
  • Review business plans - Members who are interested in reviewing business plans for potential investment opportunities can use the network's on-line posting process to view ventures posted by Notre Dame student and alumni entrepreneurs.
  • Support the Mendoza College of Business and its students - IrishAngels members may choose to mentor Notre Dame students, sponsor internships, and participate in classroom lectures or special events. These personal interactions are invaluable to our students.
Membership Terms and Conditions
Membership is nontransferable and can be cancelled by either the IrishAngels network, the Gigot Center or the individual member at any time, for any or no reason, by providing written notification via e-mail.

IrishAngels network materials and communication, including the membership directory, business plan summaries, and other information provided, are for the use of IrishAngels members only, and may not be reviewed by or distributed to others.

  • Any contact and personal information provided by members to the network will be kept strictly confidential and will not be released to anyone outside of the network without the member's consent.
The University of Notre Dame and the Mendoza College of Business take no responsibility for the accuracy of any advice or information, either oral or written, that is communicated by members of the University, IrishAngels members, students, or any other parties participating in the network and shall have no liability for any such communications.
  • No officer or representative of the University of Notre Dame or the Mendoza College of Business is authorized to provide any information to members of the IrishAngels network with respect to any business or joint venture other than information given to the University by students and alumni that is forwarded to IrishAngels members without change, opinion, or recommendation.
Neither the IrishAngels network, the Gigot Center, the University of Notre Dame nor the Mendoza College of Business is a registered broker/dealer or investment advisor.
  • None of these entities has given or will give any opinion or recommendation as to the advisability or suitability of investing in any of the businesses or ventures supported by IrishAngels.
  • Any investment negotiations shall be between the IrishAngels network members and such businesses or ventures, without any participation or involvement by the Gigot Center, the IrishAngels network, the University of Notre Dame or the Mendoza College of Business.
  • The IrishAngels network, the Gigot Center, the University of Notre Dame and the Mendoza College of Business disclaim any responsibility for any decision on the part of members of IrishAngels or any other persons to invest in any such business or venture.

  • Any such offers or information relating to any such business or venture will be provided by such business or venture.
