Thank you for helping us out with this survey. You will find seven different scenarios below. After reading each scenario, you will be asked to answer six questions regarding your opinion of the situation. Following these scenarios, you will be asked some short questions about your own behavior. Finally, there are a few demographic questions that we would like you to answer as well.

On the letter we sent you in the mail, there should be an identification number. Please be sure to enter your identification number at the beginning of the survey. All of your responses will be held strictly confidential and the survey should only take 15 - 20 minutes to complete.

Today, at the weekly staff meeting, you and the other employees in your department were discussing the annual budgeting process that is scheduled to start next month. In the past, this has been a frustrating project because it takes a lot of time and it seems like corporate administration always cuts the department’s requests.
